Drilling mud agitator, also called mud tank agitator, is driven by an explosion-proof motor coupled to a gearbox that drives the impeller & shaft. The impellers transform mechanical power into fluid circulation or agitation. The objective is to achieve a uniform suspension of all solids.

Usually, we suggest one agitator per 3 meters of the mud tank. Except for the shaker tank, almost every compartment requests agitator.

Based on the different gearbox types, there are helical bevel agitators and helical worm agitators for option. Some clients prefer a helical bevel gearbox agitator, that more stable working performance. While some customers like a helical worm, which has good performance and is highly cost-competitive. Both types are convenient to work with and less wearing parts. Also, it can be fitted with single or double vertical or inclined impellers.

For a mud agitator, customized service can be achieved from ZPM, including shaft length, painting color, package, as well as special certificates like ATEX, IEC, and EAC for electric components. Our agitators are widely used for oil and gas drilling, geothermal drilling, and horizontal directional drilling.
